who the heck am I?
Hey there! I’m Ben Sellers, an aspiring theatre-maker of all kinds here in NYC. I’m based in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.
I’m originally from Orange County, California, and ended up here in New York after getting my B.A. in Theatre and Speech from Wagner College in 2022. I’ve worked here and around the country acting, playing music, and creating theatre for the past 7 years and counting. My most recent credits include directing “Die Off” by Maximillian Gill for the Astoria New Play Festival, playing guitar and songwriting for “Elements” by Dan Marino at New Perspectives Theatre Company, and playing Clyde in “Bonnie and Clyde” at Fort Peck Summer Theatre in Montana.
I’ve been playing guitar for over a decade, and have been playing professionally since I was 19.
In addition to theatre, I’m also a big backpacker and hiker. I hiked over 1000 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail in the spring and summer of 2025, from the Mexican border to Lake Tahoe. It’s a goal of mine to finish the rest someday!
I’m always looking for new projects to collaborate on, especially as a director, writer, editor, or performer. Get in touch if you’re interested in working with me, or click below to read a bit more about my creative philosophy.
