my writing/composing

I’m currently in the process of revising and finishing multiple works. Scroll down to see the concepts. Demos and readings coming soon!

54 Below Goes Folk-Rock

I arranged and music directed folk/rock versions of musical theatre tunes for over 20 singers, for an (almost) sold-out crowd at 54 Below.

Upcoming Works

pornacalypse: a one-act play

Two college friends reconnect after drifting apart: Jackie, who is reeling from the loss of her baby brother, and Macy, who has found great success in online sex work. As they navigate talking about these developments, Macy’s manager and gay-best-friend Chris barges in unexpectedly: one of their “marketing techniques” has gone too far, and they have to shut it all down. “pornacalypse” explores what’s real and what’s not in the age of influencers, AI, and apocalyptic dread.

3 actors: 2 w, 1m. one location.

The Sound of the End: A song-cycle for 4 actors and guitar

“listen to the Sound”… this song cycle examines the many ways dread manifests in us: like nostalgia, anxiety, heartbreak, and hope. Accompanied by solo guitar, “The Sound of the End” is an auditory manifesto for how musical theatre can tackle the end of the world.

4 performers: 2 m, 2 w. One guitarist. Any space.
